Gratefulness.
It will absolutely wreck your world if you allow it to.
As I have been processing the last few years of my life I have been brought to tears on multiple occassions at the reality of all who have helped me get here. Gratefulness has made an ugly crier out of me as I have realized that my supporters have given over $20,000 to make this gospel known throughout the earth. That $20,000 has been given to Adventures in Missions over the last two years, that doesn’t include the money that has been given to me outside of that and the gear that has been bought for me. You, my supporters, my friends and my family, have made dreams in my life come true and you have believed in God to do big things. He has accomplished much and it wouldn’t be possible without you. It means a lot that people have given to this organization financially but I think the most beautiful thing about raising support has been the prayers that have been lifted up on my behalf. To meet with people who I don’t know and hear them tell me that they have kept a reminder in their bible and have prayed for me every single day for the last two years is one of the greatest things I have ever been part of. Witnessing the body come together and live out their gifts to further this gospel is something I hope to always stand in awe of and never get used to.
I am about to start a new journey with the Lord and I still have the opportunity to raise support for it. I am in awe that He is trusting me to lead a squad of 40 men and women who are going to spread this gospel around the world while diving into community and intimacy with Him. I am also in awe of the people who are already committed to partnering with me throughout this journey.
The cool thing about Adventures in Missions is that they have sent over 107,000 people to 66 different countries in the world. To make this happen, there are over 160 staff members in Gainesville, GA. There are also over 100 long term missionaries throughout the world and there are 6 international bases that Adventures has established.
It is my responsibility to form a team of ministry partners who will support Adventures in Missions with monthly gifts and prayers. Of the gifts that are given to Adventures in Missions, 90% of them go directly to program needs. The jobs to mobilize all of this would not be possible without the amazing supporters that are giving monthly.
What I am learning is that everything is an invitation and a choice to say yes or no. As a mentor, I am looking to God to use the resources that He is giving me to make this gospel reach the world. As a potential supporter, you are asking God how to best invest in His Kingdom with the resources that He has given you. I am putting an invitation in front of you to potentially support Adventures in Missions and I am asking you to seek the Lord in whether it’s a yes or no. If it is a yes, that’s great! If it’s a no, that’s great! I pray that you hear Him clearly about what it is that He wants you to do with His resources and that you would be obedient to whatever it is that He is asking you to do.
The goal that I am raising for Adventures in Missions is $1,000/month. In order to reach this goal I need 13 ministry partners to commit to monthly giving.
2- $200/month
3- $100/month
4- $50/month
4- $25/month
The above amounts are the holes that need to be filled in support raising for Adventures in Missions and I would be honored if you would seek the Lord about whether or not He would like for you to help fill them with the resources that He has given to you.
If He does lead you to give, you can do that right here on this blog by clicking the donate button and making sure that my name is in the recipient line.
My status bar (up top) will be updated but until then you can still give. If you want to be part of my monthly support team just click “monthly” when completing the donation form.
I would also love to answer any questions that you may have about Mentoring, Adventures in Missions or anything else that comes to mind. Once I get back on American soil I would love to grab coffee or dinner with all of you! But, until then feel free to email me or message me on here or Facebook. At some point, I will be making a trip to Birmingham and would love to meet with people individually and tell you all about what the Lord has done over the last two years. I am also planning to do a photo gallery in August and would love to have you all there. He has done more than I could have ever imagined in this world and I am so humbled that we have had the opportunity to partner with Him in it all.
I will be sending out monthly newsletters about all that the Lord is doing. If you are interested in receiving that, please feel free to contact me (on the left) with your email and physical address.
I am so thankful for each and everyone of you for your prayers that you lift up on my behalf and for the financial support that you have shown me. I wish that I had enough words to thank you for everything that you have done over the last two years!
We are so proud of you and your commitment to Christ!
