Dear Supporters,

Thank you.

For believing in the dreams God has placed in my heart. For believing in the Great Commission. For believing in what God does through Adventures in Missions around the world.

For the last week I have been in Peru with my 32 racers whom my heart loves so much.

Gap L.

I wish that you could have seen them just a few months ago at training camp. I wish you could have seen them back in Month 1 of their race in Romania. I wish that you could have seen them this last week in Cusco, Peru as they begin month 5.

In Month 1 they had no idea what they had just gotten themselves into. They had no idea that they weren’t just coming on a mission trip but that they were coming into a family that disciples each other. A family that is hard and fun and full of so much love for one another. They had no idea that through ministry in foreign countries they would actually be the ones growing close to the Father.

In month 1 I would get a word from the Lord to speak to them during worship. I would cry because of the Father’s deep love for them and just wanting them to grasp it and understand it. He gave me a glimpse into His heart for them so that I could try and portray it to them a little bit.

But, this last week at debrief I didn’t have to say words about how much the Father loves them. I didn’t have to rally them to believe. Why?

Because in the last 4 months they have gone on a journey and they have come to believe it. This squad worshipped in the last week like they know Jesus for themselves. Like they have a relationship with Him. Like they aren’t just following what their friends and family do but they actually want this relationship for them. They want this relationship because they just love Jesus and know that He loves them right back.

And guess what! Out of that understanding, they are living life on mission. They are talking to strangers. Getting on their knees in front of a crippled man just to tell Him about a Father that loves Him. They aren’t just going shopping in the markets for cool souvenirs but they are going shopping because they know the woman selling her products needs the love of Jesus. They aren’t just going to grab coffee because they like it but because they want to tell the workers about Jesus.

Supporters, this is made possible because of you. The Gospel is spreading because a radical group of 18-20 year olds is grasping this life changing love and then telling the world about it. We wouldn’t be here without you. Without your prayers. Without your encouragement. Without your financial support. This wouldn’t be possible if you weren’t saying yes to what God is putting in front of you.

I am in complete awe that I looked at my support account this morning and have THREE new monthly supporters and countless one-time donations. I literally can’t believe that Jesus provides through you. It blows my mind every single time and I thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Through the tears running down my face. I thank you. For trusting me to lead Gap L in the best way I know how. For allowing me to speak into their lives. For letting me come out to the field and spend three weeks with them as they cry and laugh and tell me about what Jesus is doing in their lives. Thank you for letting me love a group of humans just a little like God does. Supporters, you are the real MVPs. You are the reason that this Gospel is making its way around the world and you are the reason that this group of humans know what it is to know a God that loves them.

I pray that you see your impact. I pray that you understand that when you give donations you change lives. You help Jesus to change lives. You help this world grasp the love of a Father. You help people hear the Gospel for the first time. You allow orphans to be loved on. You allow beggars to be seen. You allow this world to be seen and to be heard and to be known.

Thank you.
