Life Updates!

I feel like it has been awhile since I have given a life update so how about a quick one?

Gap T has entered into their last country of Swaziland! They arrived last week and I will leave on March 21 to make my way there for a few different things like our Parent Vision Trip where their parents get to come out and do ministry alongside their kids. It’s going to be an incredible week. Swaziland was one of my favorite countries on my race and my hope is that I see some familiar faces while I am there.

I was with them back in December/January for a debrief and time on the field with them. I spent New Years in Thailand and then traveled with them to Myanmar. They are a wonderful crew of humans!

My friends and I went on a work retreat to Asheville, NC and we had too much fun. It’s truly a gift to be friends with your co-workers and to get to do what we do.

Last week I was in Israel with a really great group of people from my parents’ church. It was mind blowing to be in the place where Jesus was born, did ministry and was killed. It was an emotional week being on the Sea of Galilee, floating in the Dead Sea and cruising around the Judaean Desert. It has given me a completely different outlook on the bible and the way that I interact with the Lord. It was a trip that I know a lot of people wait until they are much older to do and I just can’t believe that I had the opportunity to go.

I have agreed to another year of mentoring and have already gotten my route/squad for this next year! They will come to Training Camp in July and launch in September. Gap T gets off of the field in May so I will have a few months that are a bit slower in the summer but that will be filled with Training Camps and getting ready to have another squad on the field.

I turn 30 this year and I am trying to plan an epic trip to Iceland to mark off my #1 dream of seeing the Northern Lights. If any of you know the cheapest way to do Iceland, send me a message! All tips are welcome. I really am trying to live my 29th year in the best way possible and it’s been really sweet to take a step back and look over my life and ask the Lord if I’ve lived one that has really mattered and what do I want the next part of my life to be. I’ve realized I have been on some crazy, cool adventures with the Lord and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

With committing to another year of mentoring it means another year that I have the opportunity to support raise! I would love to get ahead of the game. This year I have a friend who is closing the gap of what I lack in monthly to fully fund me for this fiscal year. What a gift!!
